Homemade is always the way to go! I married into an incredibly crafty family- and last year my not-quite-father-in-law gave his kids and wife sporks he fashioned in his shop. (He has this thing where he uses the same bowl, spork, and cup for every meal!). I would love to get a spork this year. quite honestly, i'd like to receive ANYTHING handmade! people don't make handmade stuff for me because they think i can make it myself, it makes me so sad! i even had one person say that she didn't make me stuff because she thought she wasn't a good enough sewer compared to me. isn't that heartbreaking?
